Tissues, paracetamol, and cough lollies have lined our night
tables this past week. Ryan and I have
been sick, and it has been really poopy, because the weather has been
absolutely gorgeous!
I believe I brought something home with me from school. My students this week were all itchy and
snotty nosed (YUCK!!) and I crashed Saturday night around 7pm and didn’t wake
until morning!!! I woke up feeling even
yuckier, but to my surprise was Mr. Aschaber!
He never gets sick, or tells anyone that he is. He came in to the sick infested room and
announced, “I’m sick!” We both felt like
absolute rubbish! Even so, that Ryan did
something that I have NEVER EVER seen him do! CALLED IN SICK!!!!! Oh my
goodness!
It was quite funny actually.
He was extremely anxious about it.
I left the house to go and visit with Nicci, because I began feeling
better. I took the phone, and he was
all, “If they call, let them know that you are not home, and don’t know where I
am blah blah blah..... hahahaha!!”
Because of the beautiful weather, Nicci and I had our therapy
session outdoors. It really did make me
feel better! Having the sun shine on my cheeks
brightened me up. I thought this remedy would
be equally as good for Ryan. Therefore I
raced home and changed into some shorts, and asked Ryan to do the same. He tried, but banked on a hoodie instead. He was still having the chills so entered the
20 plus temperatures wearing a black hoodie.
It was again pretty funny to see Ryan walking all white and sickly among
the others around us, who were shirtless and tanned and running around!
We made it to an outdoor cafe, where I wished I had a camera
because Ryan looked like death sitting there in the sun looking like he could
use a sofa or bed to lie on!
My next thought is this, supply can’t call in sick. We are supplying for the sick, therefore I
taught this week feeling a wee bit ‘high’.
I rather not have to re-visit this state anytime soon. Teaching 7 year olds algebra for the first
time while consistently blowing my nose is not a particular good thing, much
confusion for my sweet pea little year 2 students.
Friday, Ryan and I had to escape the flat! Being sick all this week, made us MAD! Working and sleeping is all we did, therefore
Friday we flew the coop. Before we left, I thought I looked not bad, after
reviewing these photos, I think we should have just stayed in bed!
Enjoy!
Greggs, is the England Tims. Even before we hit the metro, Ryan is in search of sausage rolls. We should have realized then that it was bed time.
Quayside. The Pitcher and Piano packed, and it was only noon on a Friday!
Well it was packed outside at least, but these sicklings decided that the sun was to bright, and opted for an indoor seat!
Our liquid lunch. Mine a coke, have given up alcohol for lent.
Ryan trying to look like he is feeling well.
Looking sickly.
This picture makes me laugh soo much! We should have not left the house.
I was excited about not wearing socks or tights in this beautiful weather!
Until next time...
